Psi Chi
| Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology and membership is by invitation only. | |
| According to the National Council's standards for
induction, Members of Psi Chi must represent at
least the top
35% of students in their respective class in general scholarship at the time of induction and must also exhibit excellence in scholarship
in psychology. The National Council allows individual chapters to establish more restrictive criteria for induction into the chapter, if they choose to do so. The Officers of the AASU chapter of Psi Chi have chosen to exercise this option and have decided that potential members must meet the following criteria for induction:
|
|
| The charter members for AASU's chapter were inducted during our charter installation ceremony on Tuesday, November 18, 2003. Following this charter membership induction, inductions are held at least every Spring semester. | |
| We are very excited about this opportunity for the many outstanding students in our department to be honored for their accomplishments and to explore more opportunities for funding of their research projects. | |
| If you think you may qualify for induction and you have not been contacted, please see Dr. Scott, the faculty advisor of the AASU chapter of Psi Chi, for more information on qualifications for induction. | |
